Brian Klee

Brian is a legend in the insurance industry – a highly respected and acknowledged national authority on insurance for people with health, occupation, or lifestyle concerns. His specialist expertise, gained during more than 35 years in the insurance industry, sees individuals, insurance agents and governments come to him for advice and assistance.

Brian established Special Risk Insurance in 2001, following more than a decade of experience hunting down insurance specifically for people who didn’t fit into the ‘standard’ risk profile. A passionate advocate for people in need, Brian has a genuine belief that everyone should be given consideration for insurance, regardless of their past or current challenges.

His industry and product knowledge, attention to detail and thorough, professional presentations mean Brian’s clients always get a fair hearing. Added to which his outstanding listening skills and ability to think outside the square make him extremely successful in obtaining suitable insurance for his clients.

An international speaker on the topic of insurance for people who don’t fit the standard insurance company profile, Brian has a wealth of past experience and current expertise, including:

• assisting the New Zealand Human Rights Commission to revise the current guidelines for the insurance industry
• as guest speaker on insurance underwriting for people with special risks at international conferences in North America, Asia and Australia.
• author of multiple articles for specialist insurance magazines and general media publications
